The global success of Bosch Thermotechnology can be traced back for 100 years and to the technical forerunner — Mr. Hugo Junkers. In 1895, he set up his company in Dessau of Germany and produced the first gas water heater.

In 2003, the total turnover of Bosch Thermotechnology was Euro 2.01 billion, and she had approx. 10,000 employees all over the world. The total sales turnover of Robert Bosch Group was 36.4 billion Euro in 2003, with above 230,000 employees worldwide.

The gas wall-hung boiler made by Bosch Thermotechnology is accounted to the best in Europe, owns round about 15% market share and is a great market leader. Especially in 2003, after merged with the Buderus Heiztechnik , BBT Thermotechnology became the biggest gas heating boiler suppliers in Europe.
